J.D. Barnes Limited provided pre-engineering survey services in support of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project, working as part of the broader project team during early planning and design. Services included project control verification and topographic surveying completed in accordance with Ministry of Transportation (MTO) engineering survey standards, supporting design development for one of Canada’s largest cross-border infrastructure projects
Survey support was provided as needed over the course of the project to align with changing construction phases and project requirements within an active urban environment.
J.D. Barnes has a long-standing history of supporting airport operations through a range of surveying and geospatial services. Work has included LiDAR surveys, obstruction surveys, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), and the generation of high-resolution orthophoto imagery to support planning, safety assessments, and infrastructure management.
